Original Songs For $1 In 15 Minutes
By Remezcla, FLK & Casa del Sombrero
For artists, music award shows are filled with answering the same nomination interview questions in press junkets. Over and over.
So for the Latin Grammys, Remezcla, a Latin music publication, took a different approach.
Transforming a Vegas hotel suite into an impromptu recording studio, enlisting top producers and composers in the music industry.
Artists were invited to craft an original song in just 15 minutes — all for the price of $1. Each artist left with a custom song, a cassette containing the track, and a ready to share social video for all platforms.
The result? A compilation album of 14 original songs born out of unexpected collaborations with talented artists, such as Akapellah, Goyo, El Mató A Un Policía Motorizado, Elsa y Elmar, among others and a video documentary of the entire process.
